We purchased a Samsung RB215ACBP refrigerator manufactured 12. Within the first two weeks, the door shelf that holds condiments cracked at the bottom and broke. When I called customer service the rep said, "You must have overstuffed it." She then referred me to a replacement shelf we could purchase to replace the broken shelf our brand new refrigerator... With our $80.00. When I explained we had not overfilled or abused the shelf in any way, the rep said, "We have no way of knowing that. You'll have to replace it yourself."
We had no way of proving one way or the other. However it is Samsung's policy to assume the customer is at fault, rather than the flimsy, cheap plastic shelves.
Our answer is to superglue it back together with reinforcements, rather than give Samsung more of our hard-earned cash. And never trust Samsung to honor its warranty or treat customers with the proper respect. Samsung's $5 worth of shelf cost it customer goodwill, which is priceless. When will they ever learn?
