We have had several issues when dealing with Home Depot and their KraftMaid line. I agree with other complaints were held hostage.
Either our project is delayed up to 6 more weeks or we have to accept a damaged product at little or no discout.
Our pantry. That totals over 2000.00 is split, glued, shoved together, not sanded, rows of visible nail holes, hinges put on wrong so the facing is damaged. All four corners of a thin partical side panels are damaged on both pieces, does not lock in.
We are very disappointed in this line and for the money expected better craftmenship. This has occured with almost each section ordered.
We were then told by Home Depot that they were the only ones we could finish our kitchen through and had no choice if this is the pantry and line that we needed. Take it or leave it. They held the only contract, KraftMaid could not be contacted or reached and refused to give me any information.
We offered to take pictures and negotiate a discount vs reloading this and waiting 6 more weeks and they would not reach what we felt was a more then fair deal. Considering this has been a continuing problem with this line and store.
To tell the truth we are almost thinking about taking out and returning the intire kitchen.
They have made a Lowes customer out of us. And I will never have anything good to say about Kraftmaid.
