Sears issued a sale flyer that had among other items, mens rebock tennis shoes... I went to the buena park sears store on the first day that he sale was effective... There was not a salesperson in sight and several customers were waiting for someone to show up... I looked and found the number of the shoe i wanted and looked for a box that contained them... No such luck... A gentelman was there and he to was looking for the same shoe... Finally after i asked two passing employees to call some one and finally a young lady showed up... We told her what we were lookinf for and sisappeared in to the back room... Almost ten minutes later she came out and said that they were out... I told her that the ad had just come out that day... She was no help so i asked for the manager... A lady showed up an claimed to be the dept mgr... I explained to her that we were there to buy the shoes that were on sale... She disappeared into the back room and then emerged to tell us that they were all ou... I told her that the ad just came out that day... All she would say is that they were out... I asked her why they dont have the merchandise that they advertise on sale... She said"let me explain something to you... These ads are made up weeks in advance and if they dont have the merchandise then that is the way it is... I started to complain and she just said... I just work here meaninf she had no control over the ordering of goods...
I went across the street to kohls and bought the same shoe for the same sale price... This is a rotten way to do business... I dont think i will return to sears...
