Aabbots jacked up our price of oil to almost twice what it normally was during February of last winter, one of the worst ever. When we couldn't cough up the 400$ in the seven days they give us after they arbitrarily pick a day to deliver they cancelled our automatic service with a nasty letter. Since we were moving out anyway, we just paid them their balance in full two days later. Three days later without any notice at all they delivered to any empty house another 220$ and turned up the heat to boot.
They refused to negotiate or be in any way resonable when I told them that we didn't live there anymore and they had sent us a letter stating they had cancelled our service. The woman on the phone was downright offensive saying that "I would have yelled if they hadn't come and we had run out of oil." Well we HAD run out oil before and I hadn't yelled at her.
Then instead of going to a collection agency to collect they went straight to small claims, knowing that there was no way we'd be able to attend the proceeding to defend ourselves since we had moved 3000 miles away. Now we have a judgement agaist us all because we couldn't show.
