On Nov. 1 I hired Custom Gold Floors to put in new carpet and hardwood floors in my home. I gave him a deposit for my carpet at this time. I had a leak in my home and explained this problem to Michael. My leak turned into a bigger problem then I though and had to wait to do my carpet.
A week later, Michael called and told me he could give us a $1000.00 discount if we order our hardwood. I told him I needed to give him my credit card, and he said he didn't take credit cards, but would see if his friend could run the card through. He took my card # and ran a charge for $6000.00.
My leak in my home turned into a 7 month delay, and Michael was very understanding in my situation. Upon time for me to have my carpet installed it took numerious phone calls to have a date for installation. May 20. When the installers came, the one in charge told me he didnn't have enough carpet to compleat the job. I called Michael and he would'nt answer his phone. I left him messages at which time he later called me back.
I told him the problem, and he said he didn't know why they didn't have enough carpet. My masterbath, all my closets, and the 2 area rugs I orderd were not compleated. It took a week 1/2 to have the installers come back only to find out that again he didn't have enough carpet. The installers put the carpet in my masterbath and in all the other closets, they did not have enough for my master closet or my 2 area rugs I ordered.
In addition they tryed to get away from putting new padding in all the closets. My husband notised the padding was not put in and they had to redo all the closets. After all these problems with my carpet I called and disputted my charge for the hardwood.
I never recieved a call from Michael about my carpet until he found out about the disput on my charge card. He told my husband that he would put a lien on our house. We recieve a copy of a contractors lien that he says he filed. I contacted the BBB and found other complaints on this company. I also found out that he has no licence. I want my money back along with my carpet to be replaced!
