I made two large purchases with Conn's within six months of one another. My experience (s) with the sales team, management and credit representatives have been horrific. My initial purchase was made almost two years ago and I am still having customer service difficulties to this day.
In the beginning, the sales team was unnecessarily pushy and they lied to me several times in order to try to persuade me to purchase extended warranties and insurance. Sales reps attempted to convince me that I was "not allowed" to purchase my $2500.00 washer/dryer set without also purchasing insurance on the products through their company. When I refused to purchase and asked to speak to management, my request was refused. Frustrated, I completed my purchase and left the store.
Since that time, I have attempted to speak to customer service representatives regarding my account via telephone - only to be put on hold for extraordinary lengths of time. Phone reps are rude and demanding. Today, I received FOUR phone calls from Conn's and every time I answered, I was sent to an automated service and was required to HOLD once again - when they had called ME! When I finally got a live person on the line, he [mistakenly] informed me that I was late on my payment. (I was not. I have excellent payment history.) When he realized that the mistake was on Conn's behalf, he interrupted me mid-sentence, proceeded to raise his voice with me and then HUNG UP ON ME while I was attempting to speak.
I am enraged with this company. I would never recommend this retailer to anybody. To top it all off, they routinely call me in attempts to persaude me to come into the store to purchase additional items. I am appalled at the audacity of this company. This is absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever received.
