I recently purchased a set of washer and dryer from Conn's and was greatly upset by the transaction. After putting $500 down and the rest on a GE credit card, the customer service representatives told us that we would DEFINITELY get a set by Monday, which had been three days away at the time of purchase. Tuesday came, so we called Conn's and asked them what was up and they told us that they didn't have any in stock. During this call, I had been put on hold six times, each time only answering one question. After realizing that I had been speaking with someone in electronics, he said that he didn't know anything about appliances and transferred me to the correct department.
After speaking with the right guy, we found out that there would be some in stock that Wednesday or Thursday. The following Tuesday had rolled around and we hadn't heard anything from Conn's. We called again and they said there had been sets of our washer and dryer in stock for a couple days. Upset that Conn's didn't pay attention to us and call us to let us know that there were sets in stock, we requested that they be delivered as soon as possible. We set a delivery for the following day. At 1:00pm the next day, we received a call saying that the delivery truck was an hour away. The truck didn't get to the apartment until 2:45pm. After setting our first load of clothes in the washer, we realized that a part of the dryer was missing.
This Conn's experience has been so very stressful that I will never shop there again. I advise anyone to be aware that Conn's is okay on customer service only until they get their money. After that, they seriously lack in that area.
