Our AC went out on 08 Jul. A tech looked at the system on 09 Jul and said that he couldn't diagnose the problem because the compressor was overheating. Tech returned 10 Jul and determined it needed a new blower motor. Order was not placed with First American until Monday. After two weeks of being told that the part had been shipped and then it hadn't, it been ordered but then it hadn't, to it had finally been shipped but hadn't, to oops it hadn't been shipped at all and finally just asking the repair company to pick up the part.
The Tech arrives on Fri, 24 Jul, a full two weeks after the first visit, installs the blower motor and the system still does not work. The tech leaves stating that he can't diagnose the problem because the compressor was overheating. This is like groundhog day. The repair company does not work weekends so we are now on looking at entering our third week without AC and the temperature is going to be 113-115.
I left a very angry message on the repair company's phone and hurt their feelings so First American decided to give the repair job to another company. That company will not be out until 29 Jul. Given our experience last year and this year with First American we may be looking at a full month or better without AC.
First Amercian has achieved of incompetence and deceit that I have never seen before in a for profit company.
