I needed a 20 yard dumpster to use while I remodeled my house/yard. Oakleaf delivered an empty dumpster to my house but the driver did not get out to deliver any paperwork, instructions or get directions if it was placed in the right spot.
I tore down part of my split rail fence (12 rails, 4 posts, 1 gate) and loaded it in the dumpster. I loaded approximately 800 square ft of carpet and padding and one hollow door. Along with 27 feet of rotted porch railing wood and left over wood from when I first built the porch railings, this was the majority of what was loaded into the dumpster.
Ten days later, the dumpster was picked up. Again, I watched out of my window as the driver backed up, hooked the dumpster up and drove away. So at no point do I know any info on my dumpster. No tare weight, no container number... Nothing.
Shortly thereafter, I receive a bill from Oakleaf saying I had 6 tons of waste in a 20 yard dumpster. That's roughly 4 compact cars! I called to refute the billing but was basically told it is what it is but, to supposedly make me feel better, they offered me a 25 dollar rebate.
Had I not already bought my carpet and had it installed, I would have found my carpet some other place than Home Depot. I'm deeply upset that a major chain such as this has their name on a business that seems so... Shady.
