I have used Deans previously with satisfactory service but I have sworn off using them because their customer service is bad. A number of things happened a during their service:
1) you feel lucky to get an appointment with them and it is usually a month away (esp during spring opening season) what is the point of opening your sprinkler system in mid summer?
2) The guy came out. He was nice enough, found a leak right away, dug it up. It started to rain pretty good which probably makes finding leaks in the system harder, so he asked if we could reschedule. The company was supposed to call me to reschedule (for some reason he couldn't reschedule me at that time). I waited about a week. I got no call and then got a bill in the mail saying that I "no showed" at the appointment and owed them money as a result. Even if I wasn't there, at no time was it made known to me there was a charge for a "no show".
3) I called the company and after multiple calls they dropped the charge. Then asked if I wanted to reschedule... Another few weeks away... I don't think so.
I am now deep in summer, my grass is browning and I'm watering by hand.
I think that Deans needs better customer service and probably needs to hire some more people if they want to be a bigger local sprinkler service. You shouldn't feel like they are doing you a favor by granting you an appoinment.
