My wife and I purchased carpet in May of this year from Empire Carpet in Chicago. Since the purchase of this carpet which the fibers are nylon; it has been having all kinds of debris accumulate from it on a daily basis. We have a baby who crawls around and loves to put anything in his mouth. The salesman told my wife this was the best carpet for her money which we spent $2,800. Empire refused to repalce this carpet at first till I contacted the manufacturer. Then Empire called and said they would replace the carpet for us. A couple weeks ago we chose a new carpet and at that time we asked the person if they were any extra costs and he said no. Then last week out of the clear blue a person at Empire called to say they would be a $350.00 installation fee. Now today my wife spoke with someone its up to $550.00. I just want someone to keep there promise to replace this carpet for free. I have left messages with a few people at Empire, with no one return phone calls. I thought the first thing in business is to please your customers not to rake them over the coals for more money.
