Found full page add in YP type book... Said "Discount" garage door service. Showed pictures of vans, lowest prices guaranteed, Rated #1, Licensed, Bonded, Insured, etc...
Only problem was it needed new cable, as one had basically stretched/frayed. Technician in a privately owned vehicle (not van as shown in ad) said this counted as door off track, but I said no way... The door is fine and on the track. He insisted that is what they call this problem and final bill (for less than 30 minutes of time) was $392.34 (he replaced both cables). He also let his small son play in my garage while he was fixing the door (OSHA?). I feel I was overcharged by almost 50% and the "door off track" was the scam he used to add an additional $249 to the bill.
