We bought a Kenmore refrigerator approximately 9 years ago. About a year or so ago it started leaking water. Water on the shelves, in the bins, and under the bins.
We had more than a few service appointments where they come out and try a different fix each time and each time tell me that this will fix it.
I have had to take time from work unpaid to be here because they give you that window, ya know, between 8-12pm. I put in yet another call but because I cannot take time off I made it for Saturday 6/3 (called in for this appt last Saturday).
Here I sit at 11:45 with no word from the able bodied repair man. I call up the 1-800 number, weave my way through their voice mail and finally get a person. He will put in a call to repair man telling him I cannot wait all day, because unbelievable as it seems, I do have things to do.
I get a call from the repair man telling me he will be late not be able to be here until 1:30. After calling up and complaining to about two people I am told either wait or reschedule.
Obviously my time does not matter, customer satisfaction is not a concern to SEARS and the fact that I have two inches of standing water in the bottom of my fridge isnt a problem.
Also each time I call the service for service I am told that I qualify under the lemon law, they send me to talk to someone else somplace else who tells me that I do NOT qualify for the lemon law. I guess that SEARS expects their refrigerators to only last 5 years. Funny that is not part of their advertising.
