Ripoff on Kenmore Washer, Dryer and Fraudulent Warranty

Less than a year ago I bought my wife the top of the line Sears Kenmore Washer and Dryer set for our anniversay. Less than a year later (November 16) the door on the washer failed. We called for warranty service and they said it would take 2 weeks to get out. We had company coming from out of state to stay with us for Thanksgiving. No way to wash clothes. I called the store, the service number, the store manager. I begged them to get this fixed, or let me trade this in on a new set, or something! After many many calls to mostly people who could care less, we talked a service man into coming out the day before Thanksgiving. Turned out, he doesn't carry any parts on his truck - so he saiid we'll have to order the parts. We've now been waiting an additional 3 weeks (over 5 weeks since this started) and we still don't have the parts. Service says "call parts" - Parts says "call service". I've asked 100 times who to contact to express my complaint. They (Sears reps) either get very smart alecked or they just hang up on you.in any other business this would be fraudulent misrepresentation of the warranty, of the service, and surely this is a sub-standard product. If I were told all of this before I paid over $2500 for this set I would have said 'no thanks, I'll buy Maytag"!!
