My home was not built "as per plan" as my contract stated with them.in addition, the home was built too low and has caused ground and serface water problems in the basement.
I live on a small 6.5 acre lake and currently the land grade runs from the lake to the home instead of from the home to the lake. There isn't enough pitch to grade the land away from the home. The builder also instructed the crew working on the house to add a catch basin near the home to prevent water from getting to the home causing landscaping and surface water problems.
Other homes on the same pond do not have these issues. They have the same land elevation, road elevation, and water elevation. The front of my home was not built per plan and the master bedroom ceiling was not built as per plan.
I have pictures that I can share with any interested party. Home builders should represent the interest of home buyer, not their own. $350,000 homes or any amount for that matter should not have issue like this. The home builder needs to take responsiblity for this and find a way to fix the problem or at least find a way to repair what they can so the problem doesn't get worse or create new issues.
