Complaint / Review
Wyoming Homes - Titan Homes
Ripoff, negligient installation, fraudulent service

Back in March I purchased a new Titan Homes (800) 937-4146 pre-fabricated house, Brentwood (BW429-T), Model home (Model year new) S/N: 19-00-429-05872
from:

Wyoming Homes
1343 Hwy 315
Wilkes-Barre/Plains, PA
(800) 344-2920
Carl, Sales Manager
Lou Polumbo, Sales Manager

And almost immediately after settlement, problems began in my new home. After some investigation on my part, I found out that the seller installed no cement footers as a foundation to my new home and that this had, in fact, compromised the structural integrity of the entire house. And, as a result of this negligence, a number of problems began to appear with my new home.

I immediately began calling Wyoming Homes to get a resolution to my problems. Unfortunately, after repeated calls I have been unable to make any real progress with my issues and now Wyoming Homes has become less cooperative and even hostile to my attempts to make things right.

In one particular conversation with a Lou at Wyoming Homes, some time in June, I was told that Mt. Airy Estates did not allow the installation of footers and that they were not at fault.in another conversation with Jack, I was told that Wyoming was not going to make any more repairs. When I mentioned that their negligence was a legally actionable offense, he said you do what you gotta do'

Titan Homes has also falsely accused me of being ignorant' and throwing out' contractors sent by them to fix some of my issues. During this visit, the contractor's told me that there were too many problems' with my home and it was too complicated to fix'. I can only assume that the contractor's reported by to Titan who then said I threw them out.

After noticing that my neighbors' homes all had footers, I asked and was assured by the Mt. Airy Estates management that footers are indeed allowed and actually recommended for home installations. And I have a signed letter to this effect.

When I spoke to Titan Homes, they said that all the damage was caused by the improper installation (no cement footers) and they could not help me.

As a result of the improper installation of my new home, the following problems have arisen and remain to this day:

Trailer:
Trailer not level after repeated attempts to repair.
Sheetrock throughout entire trailer has substantial cracks.
Wallpaper throughout entire trailer has substantial rips and tears.
Entire trailer shakes when walking through the main hall.
Trim throughout entire trailer is falling off.
Gap between walls and ceiling throughout entire trailer.
All windows have ice/condensation formed between panes.
Outside windows have frost build-up that has ruined the outer windowsills.

Kitchen:
Cabinet tops are bowed facing downward.

This irreparable damage to my home place has not only affected the value and sale ability of my new home but also represents a serious safety hazard to myself, girlfriend and children living in the house.
