Ripoff poor service

Warning. Do not ever purchase anything from Sofa Express.

Here is my story.

I purchased a bedroom set from Sofa Express on a Sat.in mid-Feb. After speaking with the sales-rep, he informed me that he could get the furniture out to me the following day (Sun). You may think that is good. I did too, but that is when things fell apart. I was told that they had all the pieces in stock and were all avaliable for the delivery.

When the pieces (bed, dressor, mirror, and nightstand) arrived at my residence everything went down hill. First they brought in the bed and one of the supports broke, then when installing the mirror, the dressor got nicked up. The delivery guys told me that they would leave the furniture and have to come back and swap things out.

When they went to leave I said where is the nightstand, and they said that is not on the truck. So now I have recieved 3 disfunctional pieces and no nightstand. I immediately contacted the sales rep to notify him of the situation and was told he would take care of it and would get back to me.

I never heard anything back on Sun, so I called and spoke to the Store Manager late Mon. She informed me that she had sent an email to their wharehouse that morning, which means nothing was done the previous day. Another day passes and I have yet to hear anything, so once again I call the store manager back and leave a message. She returns the call by having me call and speak to someone else. The 3rd person that I spoke with notified me that they would deliver the dressor, mirror, nighstand, and supports for the bed on Sun.

On Sun. I recieve a floor model nightstand, and another dressor that is already nicked up. They were able to fix the bed, but I told them to take back the nightstand, and dressor. I did not pay to have any floor model pieces.

At this point I am furious. I contact the Store Manager again and asked why she sent me a floor model nightstand. The deliver guys informed me that she made them come pick it up for delivery. The drivers said that they were not supposed to go by stores and pick anything up, that everything was supposed to come from the wharehouse. This made me feel like this lady was only looking out for herself and did not have me in mind.

When I asked the Store Manager when I could finally get the pieces deliverd again she said not till the following Wed (10 days away) that they were too busy with other delivers. Like most people I work during the week, which means they wanted me to take off from work to be there for the delivery. I finally got in touch with the District Manager who got the delivery bumped up to Sun. So the next day delivery really turned into a 3 week process, by the way I still got stuck with the floor model nightstand.

When all is said and done I will never do business again with Sofa Express. Their customer service was very poor. No one followed up with me on anything. It was very obvious to me that they did not really have the customer in mind. To get things done it seemed to be me that had to initaite everything. They have not once contacted me to see how the final delivery went.
