Last September my fiance put a Bedroom Set on layaway at Furniture Discounters (reason for layaway, they had to order the set from a catalog). Paid off by December, Not delivered till April. The set included Queen size Pine frame and backboard, women drawer with 3 way mirror, 2 night tables and a mens dresser. Never got the mens dresser or 1 night table.
Price paid was 1,088. Giving them time to deliver the rest, this week she stopped in for an update. They said that the model was discontinued and the can not get the dresser or the night stand, so they offer a dresser of a darker shade and a mismatched nightstand.
So I then paid them a visit, the story changed a little. They said they can try to find these pieces to give them more time. Mind you it's been 5 months since we paid it off. I said, I think we want a refund for the dresser and nightstand, they replied No and still tried to push the old dresser in the back of the store full of dust and scratches. No mention of a nightstand.
So finally I said, maybe i'll look into a lawyer, you guys are just playing games. They said, do that, bring him here, but you're not getting no money back. I said, OKay, have a nice one, and walked out.
