I have been trying to get my Kenmore washer repaired since Jan 2. I called for service and got a service date for 1/10 (8 days later). Guy replaced clutch, transmission and some other mechanism and showed me that the washer was now agitating (with no clothes in it). Guess what? Next day I put clothes in the washer and it did not pull the clothes down to wash during its now semi-agitation! Called Sears and they gave me a date of 1/21 (seriously?). I pitched a fit, threatened to cancel the warranty I was bamboozled into buying ($250 for a repair and additional 1 year warranty). I then got a date of 1/17 (now 15 days from the date of my original call). Well, same guy came back and told me the washer was not agitating (oh no!) and it was like the previous repair never happened (?). He ordered a timer, knob and dial because my timer was shot. (Timer was replaced already once before when the washer was a couple of years old). His date to return is 1/27 (now 25 days since my original call date). Part came today in the mail 1/21 so I chatted with Sears online for a better date, since the tech told me once I got the part they would schedule a sooner date with no problem. Ha! Obviously it IS a problem since Sears just told me there is no earlier date and then tried placating me with a bunch of crap about how they understand how frustrating this is, yada, yada. Go to the next line on that customer service card you are reading from PLEASE! Going to call tomorrow about that service date and I would like to ask their accountant why they are spending in excess of $700 (so far) to repair a 7 year old $400 machine.
