The Brick/TransGlobal Warranty service-Kitchen Aid Appliances - Kitchen Aid Wall Oven/Microwave and Dishwashe

I purchased extended warranty for all new kitchen appliances. Since purchase I have made two claims. The first claim was in May when the plastic bracket that held the upper rack on my dishwasher broke and once when my microwave turn table motor broke. I waited almost two months before the dishwasher was fixed. They cited issues sourcing a part as the cause for delay. The second claim was in May when the microwave began making noise. The repair person ordered a turn table motor and claimed it would take a couple of weeks to get the part. I was informed by TransGlobal that June 26 was a date for obtaining the part. After they missed the June deadline I was told July 17. When July 17 passed I was told they could not obtain a part and they could not tell me when it could be fixed. On Aug 8 I called Kitchen Aid and obtained the number for their distributor. I called the distributor and was told they had 6 motors in stock in the city 30 min from where I live. I called Trans Global and they told me they were still waiting for a part and believed the part would arrive Aug 14. I spoke to a Supervisor and explained I knew parts were available and she claimed they must have just arrived. The supervisor was rude and when I told her I was taking my frustration to that next level, she told me she was a manager in the Brick Corporate office "so by all means go ahead!" I understood that comment to mean she would likely be involved with any resolution of a complaint I filed, thus it would be a waste of me time.

When I asked what would happen if this was my fridge I was told they would repair it as per warranty but would not replaced if a part took a significant length of time to source... So ones only option would be to buy a new fridge because you certainly could not wait 3 months for a repair.

I would never shop at the Brick or buy any product backed by TransGlobal ever again!
