We bought a brand new Kenmore Elite washer and dryer 1.5 months ago. This past Sunday (4 days ago) the washer began to leak from the back and the bottom, leaving our entire floor soaked. After calling Sears Home Services that evening, they scheduled their technician to come out at their "earliest possible appointment" which happened to be four days later. The technician showed up 1.5 hours after the appointment was scheduled for. I explained what had happened and where the water was coming from. When he was looking at the machine, he took the back little piece of and the top. He said he ran a diagnostic test on it... But I stood there the entire time and he kept telling me that he could not find the "diagnostic code" for the machine. After at 10 minutes of just looking for water, he said that he could not find a leak. I asked him to run a short cycle just to see what would happen because I know that it would leak. He said that he "did all that he could do" while at the same time stating that they just had to replace someone's machine for the same exact problem. He told me that he was done and that all I could do was call the next time it leaked. As soon as he left I started a small test load. Low and behold... It was leaking!!! So... I try to call him and no answer. Then I call Sears back and the next appointment that they can get someone back out is in 8 days!!! This is the worst customer service / repair service ever. A company that asks you to spend thousands and thousands of dollars on their products. A company that we have spent over $10k with in the last few months... But will not anymore if this is the type of service that Sears allows to continue.
