Blind leading the Blind - Kenmore Electric Range

I made 5 major purchases from Sears. Among them a Kenmore Elite Induction Range. Range went dead with a "pop" one month ago. First "troubleshooting" session (one week later) identified a part that was NOT the problem (while using top element there was a pop and the whole unit shut down). It was NOT the control unit. 2nd attempt (another two weeks later) I showed a burn mark on the back cover opposite the largest circuit board which was toasted and obviously NG. Tech "express ordered" that board. Another week later a tech installs new board which immediately blows because three techs and many phone calls never addressed the problem, only the symptom. ONE MONTH INTO IT the tech support is recommending over $1000 of new parts and I can tell he has ZERO confidence that the problem has been found or addressed. This is not some odd off brand. This is a Kenmore Elite product which means ZERO it seems. None of the repair process shows any of their people know how to fix it. It's a two year old product and they're recommending I give up on it and buy a new one. A waste of a month and i'm still not able to cook at home. And a total write off of an expensive appliance because they don't have a clue. Pathetic.
