Yes If there is an error message, please specify: Failed (Error Code: HD535-5W) Problem Description: I purchased this computer from HP to replace a 15 year old Dell. The Dell was still working, but had Windows ME so it was time. After only a little my than a year, the hard drive on my new HP is failing so I'm back to using the 15 year old Dell. Should have know better than to purchase an HP because I had the same experience with an expensive HP photo printer, purchase to replace a 6 year old $50 Lexmark. HP failed after only a year & I'm back to using the Lexmark. I speak English and want support that can actually understand & prove a relevant response to questions rather than quoting unrelated scripts & telling me to uninstall & re-install repeatedly. I'm concerned because I got no recovery disks w / my HP and certainly don't believe that the recovery disks I made will actually work. I won't be buying the new drive from HP. I may not be a techy but I'm not stupid. I'll be going elsewhere so I can get a real warranty. Where can I get recovery disks? Has anything changed since the unit functioned properly (installation of SW, settings, cabling, etc.): No How would you describe your technical skill level?: Beginner First name Mary Last name Clemens Phone number 317-784-4362 Email Address [email protected]
