I have been using the Magic Jack for about a month and so far, it has worked very well. I use it as a home-office line and am able to make and receive calls to a land-line phone that is connected to my PC through the Magic Jack. The only caveat is that you MUST have a fast internet and a constant uninterrupted signal. If there is any problem with the internet service, the Magic Jack will not work properly or at all. I have cable internet and so far have had no issues with the Magic Jack. The only time that I was unable to use it was when my cable was out, other than that, I am able to make and receive calls without a problem. As long as the cable connection is running smoothly, there is no way for anyone to be able to tell that I am calling over the computer. Voice quality and reception quality are similar to that of using a regular land-line. The other benefit is that voicemails are emailed to me, which is a great feature. I have not used the Magic Jack with a wireless modem, but would like to see how it works when I am travelling with a wireless notebook. I would recommend the product to anyone with a solid and fast internet connection. It is very inexpensive and extremely user friendly.
