Do NOT buy batteries from ebay!
I have tried to buy a battery THREE TIMES from three different sellers who have a listing that say they have batteries in stock, and then after purchasing a battery they refund and say that they "double checked, contacted another warehouse, could not find any batteries, and our automated system should not have made that listing". I recommend that nobody buys batteries from Ebay sellers until Ebay puts more restrictions on sellers so that they can make sure they KNOW what they are selling and that they know that they HAVE what they are selling.
First Attempt, a Motorcraft battery listing 330752994096 from seller thepartmonster:
"Hi, We regret to inform you that the Motorcraft Bxt-65-850 was not found by our warehouse. We came in to ship all orders out, since we try and do same day shipping or next as it happens There was a computer glitch between Ebay and the listing service, Our stock is supposed to be updated daily, but due to the glitch, info was not shared between ebay and our system, and it was updated after 72 hrs unbeknownst to us. I tried all the local warehouses as well. As evidenced by our feedback we do consistently try to provide the best possible service but sometimes circumstances beyond our control prohibit us from doing so. Second Attempt, a Parts Master battery listing 350619167839 from seller autopartsexp:
"We are very sorry, but due to back ordered status at manufacturer, we cannot provide you with your order at this time. We attempted to access this part from another warehouse, but couldn? T. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this may have caused and full refund thru PayPal. Thank you for the chance to serve your needs"
Third Attempt, a Bosch battery listing 330817308176 from seller stockwiseauto:
"I would recommend to not purchase this because we have a hard time shipping batteries. This order shouldn? T be allowed to go through, however our system put EVERYTHING that we have in stock. We thought that we specified not to list Batteries? But apparently there is something more that we must do.
Sorry but we cannot ship Batteries!
Any other parts you may be interested it? I can provide a discount code for our website direct."
Something more that they must do?! That would be DO NOT LIST SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN NOT SELL. And as for ebay they must enforce more restrictions upon these sellers to not even post these listings until after they have double checked to see if they have the item available instead of this Automated System excuse.
