I was hired by Koons about a week before Christmas last year. After training I was transferred to the Falls Church Branch. What I found there was an overtly hostile work environment where my job was routinely threatened for mistakes I made out of lack of experience. Out of the four people hired that December, all of us were fired with in a month. This was, as far as I could tell intentional since the staff had no intention of training us.
I also observed numerous instances of the management staff using derogatory language about customers they perceived to be homosexual.in one instance I was asked by one of the sales managers Danny "Which one do you think sucks * better?", referring to a gay couple purchasing a vehicle a few feet away from us.in several other instances the word "F*" was used to refer to particular customers as a reminder of who they were, ie. "Oh yeah that was the F* yelling at DJ yesterday." When I tried to report these issues I was told by the general manager that they never occurred and I was "Barking up the wrong tree". No action was taken against the offending employees.
