Koons Ford Used Auto Dealers Of Falls Church Lies and Extortion... Don't do business with them

I recently was in the market to get a used vehicle. I've had my heart set on getting a Jeep Wrangler for a long time and thought that this would be great time to get one. Spring is here, soon summer and to me that's Jeep season.

As any consumer, in today's market, I searched the internet first to see what I could find. I found a Jeep in Falls Church, that I wanted to take a look at. The Jeep was located at the Koons Ford Dealership, in Falls Church, right a Seven Corners. I went to look at it, drive it and see if it was something I would be interested in buying. It was, but not without a little negotiating. I told my salesmen, that the price was too high and that I didn't think it was worth that dollar amount.

So he began working with me, trying everything in his power to get me to settle on a price and deal that day. I wouldn't settle that day, but put $20 down to hold the car for the day so we could pick up where we left off the next day.

I thought about it that night, and decided that I would settle on this car. I went back up the next day to make a deal. I told the sales person the dollar amount I had and said I could put a down payment, down, but wouldn't have the rest of the amount for a few months. I sat there for 2.5 hours while my sale person went back and forth to his manager to me. He consistently asked me the same question, "could have that dollar amount, which was close to $4500, by the end of the month?" I told him over and over again, that it was not possible.

I couldn't come up with that amount of money in such a short amount of time. Finally a manager came out to talk to me. His name was Bill. My first impression of him was not a very positive one. He was immediately nasty with me, telling me that he was trying his hardest to work with me and that 'HE' did not appreciate my lack of flexibility. He then proceeded to take my paper work to the finance office. He said "Let's process your paper work and you take the car for 7 days and see if you can get a loan from your bank, ok?" I said, "that was fine, but if I was unable to receive a loan from my bank, will I get my down payment back?" He told me "of course!" and walked me to the finance office where I gave $2500 in down payment.

I was unable to get a loan from my bank because of the year of the car. So i took the car back up to the dealership, that day and told them my situation and said that I wasn't going to be able to pay for the car and I would like my money back. They were unwilling to give me my money back and wanted to try to keep me in the car. Bill, the manager and my Sales person, tried everything in their power to get me to keep the car and try to pay for it. I continued to tell them, again and again, that it would be impossible and that I would just like my money back. Bill told me flat out, no.

He said that since I signed that bill of sale, the car is mine and we do not give refunds. There is no buyer remorse. You are obligated to pay for the car. I told him that I didn't know what to do, there was no way that he was going to get his money so he better think of a better solution. He began to get smitten towards me and told me that he would try, but that it was no longer his problem. He apologized and threw this line at me "sorry, it's nothing personal, it's just business".

I've notified my bank again, only to be turned down again. Each time I call up to tell them that this money is going to be impossible for me to obtain, they ask me to ask my parents, friends or other family members. When I refuse, I get dirty and nasty remarks made to and basically a slammed door in my face.

Koons Ford of Falls Church are a bunch of crooks. They knew that I wouldn't be able to come up with that lump sum of money so quickly. They knew I liked the car, told me what I wanted to hear and reeled me in knowing that I would have to pay up or get a different car that I had to finance.
