Multistate Transmission - Held My Car Hostage for 12 days without repair and charged me $765 just to inspect the transmission - RIPOFF!

Multistate Transmission has Poor Customer Service, Poor Timeliness, Poor Accountability, Poor Reliability, Poor Professionalism, and Poor Rates! If you desire to patronize a business that lies to you, are irresponsible, disrespectful, and will sit on your car for weeks without any work being done... This is the place for you. Take it from me, stay far away from this business & encourage anyone who you care about to do the same. Typically you can get a better response from General Mangers or Owners, but not with this place. The Owner (Dave) called me back, didn't want to hear any of my complaints (actually cut me off) and ultimately stated that he has a problem with me because quote, "You have been dissatisfied since your car has been here"... No duh, at that point my car had been in his shop for one full week and they hadn't even begun to repair it. They lied initially about not having towing service to pick up my car, they lied about the approximate cost for repairs (as they told me $2,400-$3,200 for a transmission rebuild only to tell me six days later that it will be $4,200.00), and they lied about the time it would take to repair my car (from 5.5 days to 19 days - from Dec. 21 to Jan. 9)...

This business is a complete lie especially taking into consideration that their website states that you should chose them because they're friendly, honest, professional, (and get this) they have quick turnaround... Can someone please tell me how is 12 - 19 days of NON-REPAIRS quick turnaround?! After all of this you would think someone with some common sense, a little professional decorum, and a smidgin of customer relations would be understanding and sensitive about my complaints/concerns, but nooooooo Bill at this shop had the audacity to tell me that you're not the only car that broke down... Really Bill?! This shop is everything but friendly, honest, and professional. The owner (Dave) ultimately responded and told me that the most he could do is take off $100 for labor, but nothing else because it wouldn't be profitable to them (so you're more concerned about your profit than a dissatisfied customer). The owner (Dave) went on to say that he feels that I'm mad because I have to spend money to repair my car. I kindly reminded Dave that that wasn't the case because I would rather spend $2000 more than he's charging me at another repair shop that cares about me as a consumer/customer than spend $1 with his.

I proceeded to schedule service at another repair shop and follow-up with Multistate Transmission and told the owner (Dave) that I will have my car towed tomorrow (12/30) and he said it wouldn't be reassembled by then. I inquired how long would that take and he said some time that day. He further stated you will still have to pay the $765 for the transmission inspection. I informed him that it should be $665 with the $100 off that he presented just 30 minutes earlier, in which he told me that he meant that towards the full repair. I can't believe this business still has customers and hasn't been shut down by Moran Industries, which is the franchisor of Automotive Aftermarket Centers who manages this shop.

I followed up with Multistate Transmission at noon on the following day (12/30 - 12:30pm) to determine how long would it take to get my car back TODAY. Bill went on to say that it wouldn't be done that day or the next day and due to the holiday it wouldn't be finished until PROBABLY Tuesday December 3 which would be 13 days from the morning of 12/22 when the car was towed to them. So here I am as a consumer disrespected, devalued, & disadvantaged. I have to pay almost $800 for someone simply to provide storage for my unrepaired car.interestingly, the Better Business Bureau has only received one complaint within the last 12 months for this establishment, but I will certainly make two in addition to initiating a consumer complaint the the attorney generals office. I would hope that no one experience what I experienced by the hands of this despicable place of non-business.
