ON January 25 I purchased a WEN Power generator from PEP Boys in Fort Lauderdale. On July 28 I noticed a small oil leak coming from a small crack in the engine casing, on a generator which has never been used except for monthly start-up's. As per the Owner's Manual, I contacted WEN Power. They informed me the generator was counterfeit, the Owner's Manual a forgery and would not honor the written warranty.
I contacted the store where I purchased the generator and they informed me there was nothing they could do since it was a manufacturer's warranty. I have written both WEN Power and PEP Boys. WEN has responded in writing denying the warranty claim while PEP Boys has not responded.
