I purchased a Troy-Bilt 6000 Watt Generator with a 2 year warranty on May 5 from store # 636 in Columbus, Georgia. Model No. 030475. Serial No. 1018482569. There are at least 6 months remaining on the warranty.
When taken in for repair, I was called later and told the warranty would not be honored due to "abuse and misuse" of the machine. I maintained this generator exactly to the manual, and kept it stored properly when not in use. Unless something changes and Lowes decides to honor my warranty, I will NOT be shopping with this company again.
