Me and my husband went to Ogden Auto plaza from a referall on FOX news. First going there they made us a deal and we were contracted by promisary note to do our taxes at the dealership for the remainder of the down payment along with the two cars we gave them.
After going home to look on the internet about the deal I had made I looked on there website and found that the car they had sold me was overpriced by thousands of dollars compared to the price they had for the EXACT SAME car we had bought. False advertisment. (I saved and emailed it to myself because I knew they would delete it). After calling up there and speaking to Cory whom claims to be the head manager he lowered the deal for us and says he is doing it to be nice? (WRONG) how about because what they did is ILLEGAL?!
Furthermore we wrote them 2 postdated checks (three different coworkers at ogden auto plaza TOLD us they accept post dated checks) and the checks went in EARLIER then the post dated date so we went back into the dealersihp to make 2 new checks since those had bounced (ALSO POST DATED) and they ran them early. AGAIN! So not only do I have $29 dollar overdraft fees because of the checks but the check ran thru twice... ALL of them were NOT SUPPOSED TO GO THROUGH.
I had asked for reimbursment back from the checks and they told us that it is not their fault that we had no money in our bank at the time or not enough and that they dont accept post dated checks!
After that my husband deployed to Iraq and Me and my newborn son being sick after I just had surgery fly to Texas. The dealership threatened me with collections if I didn't do my taxes through them as promised. So after getting my taxes ready I call up there to the receptionist (MEGAN) who tells me that I have permission from CORY the ogden auto plaza, " Manager" to use H&R block instead of ME faxing them the paperwork.
The next day I went to H&R block did the taxes and paid them 17 days later. Finally getting home from Texas I come to my car that is in my garage to see that the BRAND new used car (that is safety inspected by them) has a flat tire! I take it to Discount Tires and they tell me that ALL of the tires have to be replaced (Also keep in mind that EVERY time I try to start my car it turns about three times and then it finally kicks on with difficutly)
I call the dealerhsip and ask them for a reimbursment and they tell me no because tire places only try to " Upsale" people into buying things and that I ALSO (after me paying them EVERYTHING) owe them 250 dollars for NOT doing my taxes there...
I go up to the dealership and Cory is yelling at me and speaking over me in his office along with his coworkers who are laughing at me and MANY customers out in the waiting office HEARING everything. I tell him I will not pay the 250 because I was given PERMISSION to go ahead and use H&R block when I could have just sent THEM the taxes or even FLOWN BACK to UTAH to do the taxes in person. He denied he ever said that so I called back in the morning and talked to the receptionist MEGAN, who tells me that he TOLD her to TELL me to use H&R block. This time I recorded it onto a voice recording machine.
He is threathing to send me to collections (He keeps swithching his story that I owe him 250 for the late payments (From the checks that SHOULD NOT HAVE GONE THROUGH TILL A SET TIME) and then he says because I didn't do my taxes there.)
I told him I would gladly pay the 250 if he could show me LEGAL documentation stating that the late fee for bounced checks (WHICH IS THEIR FAULT) OR a late fee for not doing me taxes there (WHICH I COULD HAVE BUT THEY TOLD ME NOT TOO!) and he said he didn't have it.
I want to warn all military families, parents of military children military retired and even civilians not to go to ogden auto plaza!
My husband is deployed in iraq and they are taking advantage of the situation!
