I purchased a 2001 Nissan Sentra from Park Avenue Ford, @ Mahwah NJ on 10-06-03. This was a used car dealership that is no longer in Mahwah. However when I went to finace the car it was from Tenafly Ford at 310 Country Rd Tenafly Nj 07670.201-568-9205. At the time of purchase the finance person Paul Spiegel suggested to purchase an extend Service plan. Which I did. The waranty start date was 10-07-03. The starting milage was 18,358. It states on the document 72 mo or 60,000 miles. My first need for service was on 5-5-08. At this time I was advised that my warrenty expired 5-22-07. This would be from the manufacturers date. I was never told that the plan started from this date. The document staes that date of service starts 10-07-03. Which is when I purchased the car. Then I had a 2nd claim on 07-01-08 and the again was told my plan had expired. This was a very costly repair. It cost me out of pocket $1700.00. I tryed to contact the dealership several times and was told that I am not covered. I feel I was mislead. I am a Senior Citazen and living on a budget, this was a big hardship for me. Just this past week 10-31-08 my car broke down again at cost me $340.00. Not only do I feel that this car is a lemon but t feel that someone should be responsible. My car only has 40,000 miles.
