Is this what Ford calls Customer Service? - Ford Mustang

December 31 I purchased a NEW 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible from Frontier Ford in Santa Clara, California. The car had 81 miles on the odmometer prior to my ownership. April 6 Only 3 1/2 months old, I discovered under the vehicle that there was EXCESSIVE CORROSION under the car!!! See PIC. (Wish I can post more than one pic.) I brought the car to my local dealership, only to be told that this matter should be handled by the dealership that sold the car (Frontier Ford). I'm thinking that the local dealership just didn't want to get involved. Is this what Ford calls Customer Service? So, I drove to Frontier Ford and pointed out the issue. First, I was ask where I had driven the car? I pointed out that I had only driven the car locally and that there was now only 637 miles on the odometer. Then I was asked, "Didn't I notice the EXCESSIVE CORROSION before I purchased the car?" I answered "NO, I didn't check it out". Really, who checks out the bottom of a car when you're buying it NEW??!! And Who would buy a car if they knew it was in that condition. The feeling that I got from the service department is that I had cause the damage. The information was taken and I was told that Ford will contact me in a couple of weeks... Sept. 23 Still no response from Ford Motor Co or Frontier Ford. So, I drove the '04 Cobra back to Frontier Ford. This time, the car was raised on a lift and photos were taken. I was then told that the pics will be forward to Ford and to wait for their response. Knowing that the more I drove the car, the more it will look like I had done something to cause this EXCESSIVE CORROSION issue. So I thought that it's best to only drive it to the dealership. Oct. 19 Still no response from Ford Motor Co. Or Frontier Ford. So, It's time for another drive back to Frontier Ford. Now the car (with only 1,766 miles on the odometer) sits... But, in their lot. Shouldn't this issue be covered under Warranty? If so, then why all the run around and being brushed aside? So far, with Ford's customer's treatment that I have received (Failure to correct warranty issue / no communication / very poor customer treatment) Ford Motor Co. AND Frontier Ford has shown me why their STOCKS have drop! Well... I'll have to wait for a resopnse from Ford Motor Co. Or Frontier Ford... (again).
