I have a 2001 Ford Windstar that our son got into put his seatbelt on, started the van and started to drive off and the side airbag went off. So the van goes into the Ford dealership and the computer says impact code, which there was not impact, no damage to the outside of the van. The auto insurance says they won't pay because they found a recall on NHTSA #00V270000 for 2001 Windstar airbag unexpectedly activating during self-test sequence. So the dealership and I go back to Ford Motor Company to get the van fixed under the recall. Ford says no our VIN number is not listed on the recall list so they will not do anything for us. So now I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Comm. And local attorney generals office, and the invester relations at Ford Motor Comp. What else can I do to get this fixed. The dealership has tried helping us but no good so far. Thank You
