I called pepboys about my car stallingand was asked to come into their shop. Then was told i needed "4 oxygen censors", paid $752.00, stalling continued...
Was told i needed to go to dealership to have my car "recalibrated" so the my internal computerized system would not continue to stall my car... Paid another $63.00, then continued to stall...
Returned to PEPBOYS and it stalled for them also, now i was told they could not do anything unless my check engine light came back on, soooo i waited a few days to see if it would... And of course it DID. Again.,
Returned to Pepboys for the forth time, then was told that if the car didnt duplicate the problem in front of him that he had no idea what was wrong. For the 5-10 mins I was present at pepboys my car didnot stall out.
Next i was asked my Mike Decesare shop manager to go back to the dealership for them to now perform an Engine Dionagistic, and he would reimburse me for cost of the Dio. I refused to be to make anymore trips then i had done already, and after him arguing with me about the 752 i paid already, he then told me he was tooo busy with other vehicals and could not see me for another 3 days.
Furious, i wouldnt leave until my car was looked at. Was asked to leave my car overnight and he himself would look at it first thing in the morning. At about 12noon the next day i was called and told "that from his experience, it seemed like an ""idel control motor"". He replaced it with no additon charge.
My rip off complained is that i was told i needed 4 oxygen censors when all i reall need was an idel control motor. 752 dollars later!!!
