Aarons Factory Transmission
Steven Hogue It's been almost 2 years, 5 or 6 times in the shop, and it still leaks and sticks in gear!

I had the transmission go out on my 96 Nissan Sentra (Night Mare Nissan as Steven knows it) in Jan. I had the car towed there by a good friend and told "Aarons" Center Manager, Joe Babenco that I needed it fixed. I didn't have the money at the time to get it fixed so I told Joe it would take a little bit to come up with the cash to pay for the repairs. He said he understood and would give us a discount on the cost. (This is my only means of transportation by the way.)

So I payed a small portion of the cost with what cash I had, and my boyfriend was able to get a loan from his employer for the rest. (The cash we paid put us back on rent and bills for 2 months.) We got the car back in Feb. Finally and it ran good for 2 weeks. It then started to do the same thing again like it did before it went out. We took it back to the shop to get it fixed and it turned out to be the torque converter was bad.

So we got it back in 3 days. About a month later the same thing! It was the torque converter again. Then another month and the same problem AGAIN! It was the torque converter. Then 3 days later the "check engine" light came on. This time we were told it was the solenoid. We were charged $200 to replace that part on top of the $1,400 we had already paid.

About 2 months later I noticed leaking again under the car. I took the car to Jiffy lube to have the oil changed and they said the leak was from the transmission plug. It was not sealed properly. So we took it back to Aaron's because it continued to leak. They said it was a bad valve of some sort. Kept my car another week and a half. After getting it back, it ran okay for about another month.

Then it started leaking again. We took it to in Tempe. They were fantastic! My boyfriend explained what we had been through trying to get this fixed with Aaron's and the Shop Manager brought the car in and put it on a lift to inspect. He called my boyfriend over to see what he found. He pointed out the leaks and then asked him if we had been told that the boots and axle were going bad on both front wheals. (The boots were torn away from the wheals, and axle grease was coming out on both sides.)

Then the Shop Manager asked if he had a camera on him, or if he would like to go get one from home. He did and returned to get pictures of what was wrong. About 2weeks later the axles dropped out at a stoplight a block from our apartment. So my boyfriend called a tow truck to have it towed to Aaron's. He called Steven and explained what happened. He asked Steven if he would pick up the cost of the tow. He agreed and said he would give us a discount since the warranty had just expired. (WOW! NOT) I think that's the least he could do since he never mentioned anything about the axles.

Now by this time I had had it with this guy and his BULL!!!

This time it ran us $910. And change. After 2weeks of waiting for the car I called Steven to see if the car was ready. He said the he had call a few days ago and tolled my boyfriend it was ready. That was a lie!!! So we decided to take it back to to have them inspect it. They said it was leaking AGAIN, and that the original seal was not done properly.

The Manager from said he would take time out of his day and take the car back to Aaron's and tell Steven what was wrong and fix it!!! (yes!!! Is the best!) Steven called us and said the only thing that was wrong was a coolant line and fixed the leak. Well now we have the same puddle under the car, which runs the entire length of the car. AND the transmission is slipping again!!! I need some kind of help from someone!!! I don't know if I should take it back to Aaron's and threaten his with court, or if I should just take it to and have them fix it, then take it to court for ALL cost??!! SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!
