We went to the dealership on tuesday 3/11/08 and was ready to buy a 2004 Sonota but that night the rate was not working out so we were advised by Paul the sales guy we were working with that the dealership will try to get an even lower rate for us and to call back on 03/12/08, so we left a 500 deposit refundable deposit to hold the car and go towards the sale along with our trade in and we signed a document stating that the 500 will be refunded if the sale does not go through. So on 03/12/08 we called all day, we have the phone records to prove this, no response even after leaving messages. On Thursday 03/13/08 again we call and not a repsonse until 7pm est from David. He said they had a bank that is offering us a lower rate just waiting for the final word and to call back Friday. So friday 03/14/08 again we here no response we call and call leave messages with david and paul and we advise them we don't want the car. We hear nothing that day. Saturday 03/15/08 comes around and we call and we get in touch with Paul we tell him we have had the worst experience with the dealership and we will not be taking the car and to refund the 500. He tells us that the dealership only does refunds on fridays. So today friday 03/21/08 i call paul and i get his voice mail.
I called again 1/2 hour later and get him on the phone and he tells me that they will not refund the 500 becasue his boss said we tied up the car for a week. I tell him this is outrageous and the car we were looking at was in not in a demand it was on his lot for a while per the car fax report i printed out. I advised him that we have phone records proving we have been trying to be in contact with the dealership and it was not our fault the car was not on the lot becasue the dealership offered to work on the rate for us and never responded to us. I advised him we would be contacting out lawyer.
