I bought a new 2012 car from David Maus Chevrolet I wanted to redeem my GM master card points at the time of sale. The new car salesman told me to come back the next day and he would cut me a check for the monies due from my card. Then the new car sales manager told me that he could not pay me because GM is not going to process the redemption because it was too late. About 2 weeks later I got a statement from my GM card proving the dealership was paid the monies.
When I called the dealership I was lied to by everyone about the money. About a week later they finally paid me after I called and complained to General Motors customer service. The next thing the Dealership had done was when I cancelled my new car service plan. The service contract company had reimbursed the monies paid to the lien holder on or about 16 Jan 12. The Dealership had also charged me sales tax for the service plan in the amount 0f $257.25 I called the dealership inquiring about the return of sales taxes that I had paid for the cancelled service plan.
I was lied to again when a member of financial management at the dealership told me that a check was going out in the mail that day to refund the sales taxes that was paid. As of today 2/16 the dealership has not returned the taxes I now have an open case with the BBB in an attempt to get my taxes that were paid returned to me or the lien-holder that is servicing my loan. Bottom line do not be fooled by Mr Maus's commercials on TV that say we will do what ever it takes to earn and keep your business at David Maus Chevrolet.
I made several attempts to contact the owner and ask for his assistance with these issues. I even wrote Mr. Maus a letter about my experience and asked him to call or e-mail me about the issues. That was sometime in January to date I have not herd from Mr Maus. The entire sales and management staff at David Maus Chevrolet will do what ever it takes to sell you a car and if that means to lie, cheat, deceive, and rip you off you during the process they will what ever it takes. Do your self a favor and steer clear of this Dealership you will be glad that you did.
