I got on line and found Town and Country Ford in Henderson, because I am looking to buy a car. Well One of their Employees emailed me 3 emails saying he could get me the SUV I wanted. It was a 2005 Kia Sportage. He said that would be a great car and that he could get me what I wanted.
We talked on the phone several times that day. I gave him all the information he needed and He told me he had The 2005 Kia but he had to go get it and it was blue also what I wanted. He also told me he had a silver one as well. But I wanted the blue one. He then called me and said he went and got the one I wanted and it was on the lot waiting on me and ask me when I could come in. I told him I couldnt be there that day but would but the next day. I also told him I only had 500.00 for a down payment and he said that was fine. Later that night I called him and he told me I was approved and to come in. And that I might have to come up with a little more down payment, but they would work with me on this So the next day I called him to be sure that I brought all the paper work he needed from me.
So that evening my husband and I went and when we got there. This guy wasnt there and There was no kia at all on the lot and there had not been the day he said it was there waiting for me to pick up. Another sales man tryed to sell me this very big car. I didnt want it and I left. The first guy I talked to so much on the phone had lied to me about everything other than I was approved.
Well when we got home my husband called the place and the guy that I had the appointment with answered the phone. We were told he had a dentist appointment and they told him to take the rest of the day off. So my husband said to him. I thought you had to go to the dentist and wasnt coming back to work. He hung up on my husband. So I called the Evansville Indiana store and they gave me the phone number to call and report this to a main manager, so I told him everything that happened. He told me He would fix this and get to the bottom of all this and that his customers would not be treated this way. Than about an hour later the manager from the Henderson store called and he told me he would fill my car up with gas for the 45 mile trip I made that night. And then told me that this employee had only worked there for a month, but that he didnt train his employees to do this kind of thing. Than he said he was going to a meeting the next morning and said to me that it was a SUV I wanted and that I had 600.00 to put down. And I told him yes that is what I had.
He told me he would go to this meeting and tell them what it was I wanted and that he would get me a good SUV and that my payments would be 250.00 per month. I said that would be fine. He would give me a call that morning. Well he never called me so I called him at 11:46 am and left a message and he never called me back, so I called again around 4:30 pm and left another message for him to call me. I even sent an email that evening. Still no call or email. When my husband came in from work He called the main manager. And told him of all this. And he said they cant put anyone in a car without 1200.00 down. Which was not what I was told by two employees the day before. And one of them was the manager.
I think this was very wrong of them and no way to do bussiness with anyone. I was lied to so much. I have never heard of any car lot doing this to anyone.
