Refuses to repair to safe conditions ripoff

In May we bought a brand new Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab pick up. At first we were thrilled with the vehicle. Then came the problems.

A year later, with approximately 25,000 miles on it, the check engine light came on and the truck started dying out in the middle of the road and running really rough. We took it in to the dealership where we bought it and they had to replace the heads. It was still running rough when we got it back, 2 weeks later.

Then, at 27,000 miles the same thing happened again. AGAIN, they replaced the heads and yet again when we got it back it still wasn't running right.

A few months later the check engine light comes on and it started dying again, all the time. This time when we took it in, they were really sick of seeing it, and us. They claimed that the cause of the problem this time was contaminated fuel and repaired it as a goodwill gesture. They accused us of everything from filling up the truck out of a farm tank (we do not even know of anyone around here that even has a gas farm tank) to putting dirty water in it to get it to blow up so we could get a new one, neither of which is true. They brought out this jar of what looked like pond water with a little oil in it. It didn't even smell like gas, which is what they claimed it was.

After going through all of this with them, the truck still wasn't running right at all. I didn't even get a few miles from the dealership until the check engine light came on again. When I turned around to take it back, the light went off. So, I figured it was just a malfunction and it corrected itself.

Here we are a year later and the check engine light comes and goes intermitantly. This last time it was on about a week so we called and got it in the shop again. This time, it seems that all they did was hurry up and quick fix just to get it out of there becuase we hadn't even made it down 2 miles away when it died on us and the whole thing started shaking to the point it was hard to keep it on the road.

I am tired of dealing with this company. I have emailed them and called them on this issue. Their response is always that the service department has rectified the problem when in fact, they have not. They are skirting around the issue of repair and only seem to rig it up to run for a while by resetting the computer.

I have contacted a lawyer on this, but I am waiting to hear back from them regarding my current complaint and my request for a buy back under the lemon law. If they refuse to buy their lemon back, well, then here comes the lawsuit.

Also, on a side note: DO NOT KEEP YOUR REPAIR RECORDS IN THE VEHICLE. I did this, and the somehow turned up missing after I mentioned the lemon law... Gee, I wonder why?
