Manual Dodge
Problems with the Service Department ripoff

To whom it may concern:
About one year ago Cody Goodnight purchased a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 pick up, from Manuel Dodge 9004 I-30 West in Fort Worth, Texas, since then things have went downhill, about 2 months ago the water pump went out dumping all the coolant out, we called Manuel Dodge as it has extended warranty from Warrentech, they sent a tow truck and picked the truck up, a week later they called and said the truck was ready, and the bill was $218.00, when ask why it was so much they said they had talked with Codys Mom Kay and she had authorized putting new spark plugs in, that was fine and she had authorized this, but we were not expecting the plugs to cost $118.00, as there is a $100.00 deductable on the extended warranty, so they were wanting to charge $118.00 for installing spark plugs in a truck that the heads were off of anyway, I brought this to their attention, and they lowered it to &148.00 total this is still $48.00 for installing 8 spark plugs in a engine that they had the heads off of.

The next day after picking the truck up, Cody drove the truck to Burleson, Texas about 20 miles away, the truck ran hot, so since Cody has another truck that he normally drives he parked the 2005 Dodge and only made short trips in it, but any time he drove the Dodge 10 miles it started heating up, so on 06/04 he took the truck to Manuel Dodge expecting it to be under Manuel Dodges warranty since it had only been about 2 months since they had replaced most of the cooling system, later that day they called and said that it was a stopped up radiator and there would be a $100.00 charge on it, today we went out and picked the truck up, the cashier tried to collect $481.93, when we complained she found where it was only $100.00, we drove about 3 blocks to the Waffle House to have coffee, when I started the truck up at the Waffle House, the check engine light was on, but Cody had already left in his Ford Truck, so I could not tell him, so I started home, the truck did not run hot, but still had the check engine light on and was skipping bad, I thought it was going to quit running, I made it home and told Cody he said never again, he will do the repairs on the Dodge himself.

Since they had the truck a week the first time it looks to me that they should have checked the radiator at that time since the first problem was in the cooling system to avoid any more problems but they did not.

Manuel Dodge and maybe Dodge has lost a customer, Cody says no more Manuel Dodge, on repairs or anything else, and that the next truck will be a Chevy or Ford, if he can get the Dodge running well enough to trade in.
This is also posted on the Internet. PS the truck has now started running hot again after driving it 20 miles
