My husband and i drove around all day long and no one would approve us for a car. So we went to drive time on upper riverdale road anf tried there. The guy got our hopes up and told us everthing we wanted to hear.
We went and looked out on the lot and only seen one car we liked. He told us to look at it and see what we think. We keeped on asking him the total price and he never told us that. Well we said we only have 700 dollars right now. He said we need 1000dollars to drive the car off the lot. Well he said lets go inside and approve you in credit. Well we did and he made us sign all these papers saying we wanted the car but talked the whole time and made us sign stuff we knew nothing about.
He told us to give him the 700 dollars now and come back when we got the rest up. And if we decide not to get it call him within 3 days. So we left and started looking at papers and seen the car was 16,000!!! Its was a 2000 and was 3 years old at the time. The blue book value was only 9,995 at the time.
So we called him the next day and he told us we cant give your money back and we needed to come up with the rest of the money or they was gunna sue us for 16,000 for the car WE NEVER DROVE!!!
SO IN ORDER TO AVOID THEM SUEING WE LEFT and let them keep the money. They are now out of business in that area but it still dont give us our money back.
