Myself and 3 friends went to Bennigans a few weeks ago, it was my first time and I was looking forward to it. I was very disapointed. We were seated rather quickly and my friend ordered wings as an appetizer. They took about 15 min to come and they were the wrong kind. He was brought the right ones eventually. My cousin and I ordered soup as an appetizer and never got it. We then sat there for an hour waiting for our food.
When the waitress finally came myself and my friend got the worng food. The soup we ordered was nowhere to be seen. I finally got the right order and asked about the soup, my cousin decided not to get hers anymore, but I wanted to try it. I got my soup and my friend was brought out her food, it was wrong... Again. She again explained what she wanted and the waitress told her the manager said what she ordered wasn't on the menu.
We asked to see the manager. She came over with a maenu and still said it wasn't on the menu. We pointed it out and she very rudely said there were so many things that sounded alike on the menu that it was hard to keep them straight. I was like then you shouldn't be a manager if you can't keep your men straight!
When her food was finally brought out, it was obvious that it had been sitting out for awhile, she has asked for this dish without bacon but she could smell it on there. There was only cheese around the edges of the chicken, supporting her suspicion that bacon had been on there and ripped off. She tried to explain this to the manager very nicely by the way, and she just walked off in the middle of the conversation.
We asked to see HER boss and after some arguing, we got our meals comped. I will never go there again and have told everyone I know about this horrible experience. Managers are supposed to keep the customer happy. I never encountered such a rude and snotty person. It just makes me wonder how she got to be manger in the first place.
