The most excruciatingly painful experience to close an account with Citibank starting with accout payoff dept who gave me the wrong payoff balance, to sending a letter to request closure of account (you can fax over and over again and they tell me they never got it even though you have fax confirmation)... To waiting time til they actually close my account, when all I really need is a paid in full letter to refinance my condo with Chase. This after I paid off everything!!! This whole process is costing me so much money and now I have to pay more to extend my refinancing rate offer!!! I am soooooo mad.
