Been paying on agreement for credit card that my wife let go into default for about 2 years. Pay on line to them every month. Made payment in july. Never missed one. Went to make payment on Aug 13th, but on web page to pay on line. It was down not working. Called to make payment by phone was told account was closed. Asked how long ago was it when it was closed answer was call credit co. And deal with them. Then hung up on me. I called back to make sure this is not a mistake because I do not want to be in default of this agreement and have my bank account drained. I have called every day every couple of hours I get voice mail. I leave message after message even asked to send email. No one will return my calls. What do I do now. Have they been accepting my money after account was closed? I have no proof that it is closed, if not closed, looks like I defaulted. This could become a big mess for me if I do not have documents about my account. Original creditor was a charge off. They know nothing
