Just wanted to share with you my most recent experience with Bank of America. I lost my job due to a Lay-off at one of the nations largest bank. I called Bank of America told them I have never been late on any of my credit cards and was calling to see if there was anyway to lower my interest rate or my payments because i had lost my job and didn't want to default. BoA representative told me they could not talk to me until they I had a job. I was kind of frustrated because I tried to tell them that I really didn't want to default on my payment so I was asking for them to work with me on a payment or payment plan. So I called back again to maybe speak to another representative and to my surprise, the system stated that my account had been closed. Kind of confused, i finally spoke to a account manager and they told me that the account had been closed a few minutes ago. Then, I learned that my other three Bank of America accounts had been closed also. The person told me that when I called earlier the BoA representative had put a code in the system that I was unemeployed and closed all my accounts. I am still in shock that they are allowed to do this. Wasn't I suppose to be notified by the first rep about closing my accounts? And to top it all off, I am still stuck paying the same amount I was calling to lower. Shame on them!!!
