They required an up front fee of $1,488 for the following reason, which is a direct quote from their application pkg: "The Reason for Your $1488.00 Deposit When you are accepted to be our agent, you will be contacted by our National Director to review your information regarding your printed material including business cards, etc. Also, at that same day we will purchase a list of 10,000 businesses that accept credit cards from their customers. That list will then be sent to our demographics department in Glendale, California where they will rework the 10,000 businesses to come up with the best 5000 businesses that are processing a large amount of monthly credit card processing so we can fund a few $100,000 cash advances monthly. However, the majority of our cash advances are an average of $15,000. The bottom line is that when a new affiliate comes aboard, Financial Associates experiences a significant cash outlay including the purchase of your 10,000 business names from Sales Genie.com, the cost of our internal demographics department to reduce the 10,000 names down to 5,000, the printed materials we supply you to get started, the training manuals, and the training CD that we overnight to you.in addition there is a significant amount of time that is spent internally setting up your affiliate position and residual account so that you are successful. For these reasons we need to make sure that if we go through this process you are serious about this and that you will be there after we spend the dollars and invest the time to set up your affiliate program. Remember: your deposit of $1488.00 will be 100% refunded on your 1st transaction. Upon receiving your application accompanied by your deposit of $1488.00 you will be contacted by our National Director to welcome you to our company and begin the complete training process so you can begin earning immediately. To make a long story stort, after I sent them the money, I have not heard from them, and they have not returned phone calls or emails. I have a complete record of all my attempts at correspondence with them, including the Fedex Waybill Tracking Number and Serial #'s of the two U.S. Postal Orders, one for $1,000, the other for $488. Fedex shows that the package was delivered on May 28, and signed for by an L. Jones at 9:12 AM. I have asked for my money back, and again, no response. These are criminals: they have STOLEN $1,488 from me. They promised something and delivered nothing. I have a COMPLETE RECORD of every correspondence and transaction I have had with this company if anyone wants further information.
