I am so incredibly worried. I was stupid enough to get an AccountNow card and chose to have my state and federal refunds direct deposited onto it. I was checking on the status of my returns and I saw that my state was deposited yesterday (01/26). I was so excited! I quickly logged into my account only to find a balance of 0.28 and I flipped out. I was so worried wondering why my state refund was not showing up on my AccountNow card. I quickly called my state's office to find out if they had for sure direct deposited my refund and they said that they had. I thanked the kind woman and hung up. I then quickly called AccountNow customer service only to speak with a woman who had a very thick foreign accent. I am not a racist. I never have been but when you live in America and you call customer service and you PLAINLY specify that you are ENGLISH speaking customer, they should at least let you talk to someone that you can understand. The girl was fairly nice although I did not understand her well enough to get what she was talking about. She said something about deposits have to go through a clearing house and that I should check my account again tomorrow. I should not have to wait on my tax refund. It's a TAX REFUND for God's sake... Why would they have to wait for it to clear? I am very nervous and upset at this point wondering if I am even going to get that money. If there ends up being a problem, will I ever see my tax refund? My family is relying on that money. What's worse is that my federal is scheduled to be direct deposited into the same account on the 29th and now there is no way of going back and changing that. I'm just biting nails in anticipation. I wish I had come across these reviews sooner and I would never have opted to have my refunds placed on my AccountNow card.
