Horrible business practices - Customer Service

I purchased a care apx. 3.5 years ago, it was financed through American General. I never missed a payment.in Jan I hit a deer and totaled my car. My insurance company paid off over $10,000 on my car. That left a balance of a little over 635.00. I received a monthly statement that said because a lage amount was paid we did not have to make a payment for several months.in the meantime I filed a claim with my gap insurance.in april I saw on my credit report that American General was reporting that I was late, even though my statement showed zero and they were charging me a late fee on interest. After speaking to Casey and Paul I was reassured that it would be taken care of and that the corporate office had make a mistake. What a bunch of liars!!! I ended up paying $60.00 which was the balance after the gap insurance. Needless to say I am now paying a higher interest rate on my new car and they have the audacity to send me crap in the mail! At this point I am going to complain to the Attorney Generals office for the State of Indiana. I am also going to start a blog and tell everyone I know how we were treated. I am also going to write a letter to our local newspaper letting people know not to use American General. I have been dealing with this since last May to no avail.
