My husband called Wal-Mart Credit Card customer service to change our address due to a move beginning of October. Since the customer service is handled overseas (big shock) by Indians that can't understand English, much less speak it coherently, the address was entered incorrectly. That caused the next statement to be mailed to an incorrect address and after much forwarding by the post office, reached us too late to make payment on time and therefore, Wal-Mart added a late fee. My husband called the customer service who promptly fixed their mistake, removed the late fee, and apologized for their error.
In November, we received nothing from Wal-Mart.
Today, we received a statement from Wal-Mart with the correct address, again with more late fees, and our credit limit was reduced from $3500 down to $700!
My husband called customer service again today. They apologized for their error AGAIN, and removed the late fees, but refused to restore the credit limit because of "late pay showing on the credit report" FROM WALMART CREDIT CARD, which we were late DUE TO THEIR ERRORS!
This happened because their customer service is the same customer service for the entire world, but since they can't speak and understand English, they should not be permitted to assist English speaking customers because they make far too many errors and make the customer pay for their mistakes!
Needless to say, as unhappy/unsatisfied customers, my husband told them to cancel his credit card, we will never be shopping at Wal-Mart again, and he tore up his card.
Wal-Mart obviously believes itself to be above reproach, but the more we learn about Wal-Mart, the further down the ladder it sinks!
